GGA Delivers Investment Transaction Management System to Major Pharmaceutical Company

GGA Software Services, a leading provider of sophisticated custom software solutions, has developed an innovative financial solution for the enterprise finance group of one of its global pharmaceutical clients. The solution allows users to match SWIFT messages for transactions, holdings, and settlements with a higher level of automated Straight-Through Processing (STP). GGA’s client issues orders to banks and trading houses to buy and sell stock using SWIFT messages that needed to be processed in the client’s own internal workflow. The client employed GGA to create a BizTalk platform that integrated multiple client systems into a single, automated workflow. However, the client’s employees also needed to review the status and manually manage exceptions that occur during automated processing.

Working with the client team, experts at GGA’s SharePoint Center of Excellence performed a business analysis to define the necessary points of interaction with the automated workflows. GGA then designed and built a SharePoint interface that tightly integrated the automated and interactive processes into a single overall solution. The resulting solution combines the interactivity and collaboration capabilities of SharePoint with the robust automated processing available from BizTalk.

Golob noted, “GGA’s solution allows real-time processing since messages are matched as they are received from SWIFT, and this automated matching allows for higher levels of STP, which in turn enables higher trading volumes.” The client’s finance team has high visibility into the status of each message and any errors that require manual resolution and receives a full audit trail for every message. Users can define and modify matching rules and fields through configuration changes instead of code modifications.
