Jim Jaeger, formerly vice president of cybersecurity services at General Dynamics' (NYSE: GD) Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions unit, has been named the subsidiary's chief cyber services strategist.
His role is a newly created position within the business' executive management team and Mike Buratowski will succeed Jaeger as cybersecurity services VP, General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions announced Tuesday.
"With more than a quarter century of experience in the cyber domain, Jim understands the far-reaching consequences of a breach and is a trusted source in our industry," said Peter George, president of General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions.
Jaeger will lead a digital forensics team that will work to help government and commercial organizations design, build and implement technologies for countering cyber threats.
His team will aim to reverse engineer malware and mitigate its impact for client organizations by using real-time network security appliances and monitoring tools.
