Santa Claus is coming to town!
MEGA Brands joins forces once again with the North Pole to help Sun Youth and the Generations Foundation
MONTREAL, Dec. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ - It has now become an official yearly tradition for Montreal's own MEGA Brands to give a hand to Santa Claus in providing children's toys to Sun Youth and the Generations Foundation to assist them in their ongoing efforts in helping families and children in need.
"I know I can always count on my friends at MEGA Brands to help me grant children's wishes", said Santa. "As in the last couple of years, I've recruited them yet again to join forces with my team of Elves to ensure that the children helped by both these organizations receive a gift at this special time of year."
The "big man" himself will make a quick trip back to the MEGA BLOKS toy factory, along with several of his Elves, where everyone will be hard at work building toys.
To celebrate his visit, MEGA Brands has extended an invitation to several groups of children from the Generations Foundation and Sun Youth to come meet Santa Claus and receive a tour of their toy factory as the children learn how toys are made, right here in their home town.
"Each year, the children that visit our workshop have stars in their eyes", said Vic Bertrand, Chief Innovation Officer of MEGA Brands. "It has become a tradition of ours to have these foundations visit us during the holidays. It is now a day that all MEGA employees look forward to!".
"The Generations Foundation and the children they serve are proud to participate in the Mega Brands Santa's Workshop Day-- a once-in-a-lifetime experience for most children!" adds Adrian Bercovici, Executive Director and co-founder of the Generations Foundation. "We give heartfelt thanks to the Mega Brands Family for their generosity and compassion".
Adds Sid Stevens, Executive Vice-President and cofounder of Sun Youth: "We are touched by the offer that came in from MEGA Brands. We are always pleased to renew a partnership and MEGA once again came through at a very difficult period for our organization. This partnership will allow us to make sure that 1,500 youngsters between the age of 6 and 12 will be able to have gifts under the Christmas tree, thanks to MEGA and Santa".
MEGA Brands invites the media to join them on Friday, December 13th at 9:30 am as they welcome Santa Claus and children from the Generations Foundation and Sun Youth at the MEGA BLOKS toy factory, located at 4505 Hickmore, Montreal, H4T 1K4.
