COKATO, MN--(Marketwired - December 19, 2013) - Since 1964, McCoy Sauna & Steam has been a leader in commercial saunas and steam rooms, providing saunas and steam equipment to many NFL, NHL, NBA, and MLB teams and training facilities, as well as numerous health clubs, universities, and military facilities across the country and around the world. In 2013, McCoy Sauna & Steam became Helo Commercial to draw upon the expanded product offerings available through their sister brand, Helo.
In 1998, McCoy Sauna & Steam was acquired by TyloHelo Inc and became a sister company to Helo, whose history in Finland dates back to 1919 and in the US to the early 1960s. With almost 100 years of experience and a globally recognized brand name, rebranding McCoy Sauna & Steam as Helo Commercial draws upon the strengths of both brands to provide an even better customer experience. McCoy has long been recognized for working directly with architects and contractors to provide custom, project specific layouts and specifications to meet the exacting standards of today's clientele. The Helo product line, which has a broader range of features and options than McCoy offered, expands upon the options for customization in looks and performance.
When asked about the transition, Keith Raisanen, president of TyloHelo Inc, stated:
"Even before we acquired McCoy Sauna & Steam in 1998, we had great respect for McCoy as a competitor, and we admired their reputation in the commercial sauna and steam industry -- and in particular -- their ability to build relationships with architects and general contractors. After the acquisition, McCoy remained mostly independent in their approach to the commercial sauna and steam market, but they were supported by the world's largest sauna manufacturer. With some exciting product development for Helo to be announced in 2014, we decided it was time for McCoy to transition to Helo Commercial and to take full advantage of the expanded product line and the worldwide brand recognition of Helo."
