FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Dec. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Autoline announced today that Mark Reuss, president of General Motors North America, was chosen as the inaugural Autoline Automotive Executive of the Year. Reuss was chosen from several dozen global automotive executives and 5 eventual finalists including: Akio Toyoda, Toyota; Alan Mulally, Ford; Tom Doll, Subaru of America; and Martin Winterkorn, VW AG.
"The Autoline Executive of the Year was chosen by a blue ribbon panel of automotive experts," said John McElroy the Executive Editor of Autoline, "It was a unanimous choice and we decided on Mark Reuss even before he received his most recent promotion as executive vice president, Global Product Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain. We are deeply impressed by his product and industry knowledge, his leadership skills, and his business acumen. He was up against some pretty impressive competitors, but we feel Mark stood out above them all."
