PHOENIX, Dec. 31, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- At the 20th Annual State Directors' Conference in Phoenix, Arizona scheduled for January 2-4, two women state legislators from each state will be sworn in as 2014 State Directors with Women In Government, following their election to this position by their fellow state legislative colleagues this past year.

At the 20th Annual State Directors' Conference, women state legislators will hear from expert speakers on a variety of public policy topics and their state impact. Topics include healthcare reform, diabetes, emerging issues in energy policy, cervical cancer prevention, the current status of women in state legislatures, childhood obesity, public health, economic security and opportunities, and many others. This meeting also provides attendees with the opportunity to network with colleagues across state borders and share best practices and experiences to advance successful public policies during the 2014 legislative sessions.
