Toy, Baby, Stationery and Licensing Fairs All Open Monday

Tokyo, Jan 2, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - Four trade fairs, including Asia's largest toy fair, open 6 January at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The fairs, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will feature more than 2,800 exhibitors and a wide range of toys, baby products and stationery, as well as licensing properties.

To celebrate the 40th HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair, a display of Hong Kong toys through the decades will be featured, along with vintage toy fair photographs. Fair highlights will include the new "Smart-Tech Toys" zone, presenting augmented-reality story books, an app for keeping virtual pet rabbits and other innovative offerings. Also new, the "Therapy Toys" display will feature products to help children and the elderly with their coordination and other issues.

At the fifth HKTDC Hong Kong Baby Products Fair, featured products include an integrated wetness care system for babies, and a Dooky BuggyBar, which can turn any stroller into a one-handed buggy.

New products at the 14th Hong Kong International Stationery Fair will include a wireless 3D Finger Mouse and a pressure-free school bag.

Fair highlights of the 12th HKTDC Hong Kong International Licensing Show will include the Hong Kong Creative Gallery, showcasing home-grown characters and brands. Art licensing is also new to the show, spotlighting Amsterdam's Van Gogh Museum, the National Palace Museum and other art-related merchandise. Fashion and lifestyle licensing continues to grow in popularity, with such brands as the Chelsea Football Club and the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil taking part.

At the third Asian Licensing Conference, held alongside the show, more than 30 international licensing professionals will speak, including representatives from Mattel, Ferrari, Toei Animation, NBA China and V&A Museum.
