PELLA, IA--(Marketwired - January 02, 2014) - Pella 350 Series premium vinyl windows earned the 2014 ENERGY STAR Most Efficient Products designation from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Second year for designation

This is the second year that Pella 350 Series has earned the newer rating, Most Efficient Products, which identifies the most energy-efficient ENERGY STAR-qualifying products in the United States market at the time. Pella Windows -- which earned a U.S. ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year 2013 award -- met strict energy requirements to earn the Most Efficient designation, including:

  • Meeting the North American Fenestration Standard/Specifications (NAFS) performance grade greater than or equal to 15
  • Achieving a U-Factor of less than or equal to 0.20
  • Attaining a Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) requirement specified based on four U.S. climate zones
