BIO Landscape Announces New Commercial Tree Pruning Services

Property Owners Encouraged to Assess Pruning Options

HOUSTON, Jan. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Trees are a beautiful enhancement to any property, but if a tree is damaged in a storm or has overgrown the space allowed it, it may need to be pruned back. BIO Landscape has announced that the company now provides a new line of tree pruning services. These services are available throughout the Houston, Texas area.

The company's pruning approach includes several steps. BIO Landscape provides tree inspections in order to determine the health level of each tree. If they see a problem, they come up with a plan for what each tree needs. Then, pruners perform any necessary services, including crown cleaning and thinning (which involves the removal of troublesome or overcrowded limbs and leaves). They also perform crown reduction and raising to help trees that may be too crowded or close to structures. For example, a tree whose branches are beginning to poke into a building's wall may need to be cut back before the branches grow large enough to do damage. BIO Landscape also performs crown restoration to assist damaged trees. The company's goal is to prune trees in a way that doesn't inhibit their health and appearance.

Neglecting to prune trees can cause numerous problems, according to the company. For instance, BIO Landscape warns that dead branches could cause injury or property damage, should they fall on a person, vehicle, or building. Falling limbs could also pose a threat to power and utility lines. Besides damage, limb-falling incidents could also lead to insurance premium jumps. Furthermore, improper pruning could potentially be as harmful as not pruning at all. The company advises that professional tree pruning be given consideration, as improper or insufficient pruning can harm trees and be counterproductive to safety goals.

BIO Landscape employs arborists certified by the International Society of Arboriculture, a prominent arboriculture trade group. BIO Landscape's pruners follow the standards set by this organization, and undergo continual training to maintain their certification.
