Wingspan To Host a Free Community Screening of "The Hornet's Nest" Film in Melbourne, Florida on January 15, 2014

Acclaimed film recognizes heroism of soldiers as witnessed by father and son documentary filmmakers embedded with troops

MELBOURNE, Fla., Jan. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Wingspan Portfolio Advisors is proud to present a free community screening of acclaimed documentary film "The Hornet's Nest" in Melbourne, Florida on Wednesday, January 15, 2014.  The special screening will be held at 7:00 pm at the Premiere Theaters, 1800 W. Hibiscus Boulevard in Melbourne.  A "talk back" question and answer session with the filmmakers will follow immediately after the screening.

"There is no group to whom we owe more than the men and women of our military," says Steven Horne, CEO and president of Wingspan.  "These community screenings help recognize the heroes who proudly serve our country and the great hardship and sacrifices they endure to protect all Americans."

"As part of the Melbourne community, we are proud to support our military and organizations working to strengthen our communities," adds Horne. Wingspan Portfolio Advisors employs about 400 people in the Melbourne area following its purchase of a mortgage servicing facility from JPMorgan Chase in February of 2013.  This is the latest in a series of screenings Wingspan is hosting around the country of this riveting film.

"The Hornet's Nest" follows Peabody and Emmy Award-winning ABC News Journalist Mike Boettcher and his son Carlos Boettcher, who were armed only with their cameras when they were embedded with U.S. forces fighting on the front lines in Afghanistan amid the constant threat of the Taliban. The film unfolds a true story of survival for the soldiers, and for the father and son team who seek to re-connect under the most harrowing of circumstances.

In a joint statement, "The Hornet's Nest" Co-Directors/Producers Christian Tureaud and David Salzberg added, "It is truly an honor to team up with Wingspan for this free screening of 'The Hornet's Nest.'  We can't wait to give audiences an early sneak peak at this inspiring first-hand account of what's happening in Afghanistan.  This film gives you a never-before seen look at the sacrifices, patriotism and dedication our troops face every day in battle."

"We've heard from so many of our service men and women across the country how inspiring this film is and we can't wait to share it with everyone in Melbourne," adds Tureaud and Salzberg. "The film opens your eyes through a non-political perspective, and people come out of the experience saying 'How can we help?'"

Event: Free screening of "The Hornet's Nest"
When: Wednesday, January 15, 2014
7:00 pm (First come, first serve)
Where: Premiere Theaters, 1800 W. Hibiscus Blvd, Melbourne, Florida 32901
NOTE: "The Hornet's Nest" is a documentary that contains adult language and an unflinching look at the war in Afghanistan. It is for mature audiences.

"The Hornet's Nest is a riveting, powerful film that every American should see," said Dr. William Perry, Former Secretary of Defense under President Clinton and Current National Security Advisor.

"Everyone, especially non-military, should see this movie. Unless you've fought in a war, you have no idea what our service men and women go through, how close they become, or the incredible lengths to which they will go for one another," remarked Donna Walker, Gold Star Mother.

Col. J.B. Vowell, a career ARMY infantry officer and commanding officer of the Task Force No Slack in the 101st Airborne Division commented, "This film is and will be a phenomenal picture for a wide audience across the country. It is dramatic, unscripted, visceral and real. Nothing I have ever seen comes close. People in the general public who have so far been deprived of knowing and understanding what is happening in Afghanistan will be awed. It achieves what no screenplay can: it places you in the most harrowing combat scenes against a hostile enemy in the most complex terrain imaginable where buddies fight for each other's survival and mission accomplishment."

Fundamentally, SDN is still mostly about network plumbing. While plumbing may be useful to tinker with, what you can do with your plumbing is far more intriguing. A rigid interpretation of SDN confines it to Layers 2 and 3, and that's reasonable. But SDN opens opportunities for novel constructions in Layers 4 to 7 that solve real operational problems in data centers. "Data center," in fact, might become anachronistic - data is everywhere, constantly on the move, seemingly always overflowing. Net...

The move in recent years to cloud computing services and architectures has added significant pace to the application development and deployment environment. When enterprise IT can spin up large computing instances in just minutes, developers can also design and deploy in small time frames that were unimaginable a few years ago. The consequent move toward lean, agile, and fast development leads to the need for the development and operations sides to work very closely together. Thus, DevOps become...

We certainly live in interesting technological times. And no more interesting than the current competing IoT standards for connectivity.
