Yellow M&M'S® To Appear Alongside His Pals From ABC's "The Bachelor"

Unique Friendship a Cornerstone of a New Partnership to Promote M&M'S Peanut

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J., Jan. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Mars Chocolate North America announced a new partnership between M&M'S® Brand and ABC's "The Bachelor," the Warner Horizon Television–produced hit relationship series.

The partnership is designed to raise the profile of the brand's M&M'S Peanut variety and centers on a unique relationship between the newest Bachelor – Juan Pablo Galavis – and the M&M'S Peanut spokescandy, Yellow. Throughout this season of "The Bachelor," Yellow will be featured in four, thirty-second video vignettes during commercial breaks, where he, Juan Pablo and series host Chris Harrison hang out in the iconic "Bachelor" mansion, discuss women and bond over their shared experience of being irresistible. Yellow will make his first appearance tonight in a vignette airing during episode two of "The Bachelor" on ABC at 8:00 – 10:00pm ET/PT.

"This is the perfect partnership because both Yellow and 'The Bachelor' are irresistible," said Seth Klugherz, Senior Director, M&M'S Chocolate Candies. "Yellow also knows a thing or two about worrying about being picked – in fact only 1 in 100 peanuts is lucky enough to find their way into a bag of M&M'S Peanut."

In addition to the video vignettes, M&M'S will support the partnership through print advertorials in People and Us Weekly, as well as social content on a custom M&M'S Facebook tab and Yellow's Twitter feed. The partnership will continue across the shows' and talents' digital platforms, including M&M'S branding on "The Bachelor" site section of ABC.com and "The Bachelor" Twitter feed at @BachelorABC.

About "The Bachelor"
On ABC's hit primetime reality series "The Bachelor," one lucky man is offered the chance to find true love. A single and eligible Bachelor embarks on a romantic journey, getting to know a bevy of beautiful bachelorettes, gradually narrowing the field to the one woman to whom he may propose marriage in the dramatic season finale. Hosted by Chris Harrison, "The Bachelor" is produced by Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. "The Bachelor" airs Mondays 8/7c on ABC.

This season's Bachelor is Juan Pablo Galavis, a sexy single father from Miami, Florida, who initially hoped to find love with Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock. With his Spanish accent, good looks, salsa moves and undying devotion to his daughter, Juan Pablo, 32, was a fan favorite. Sadly, Desiree couldn't see a future with Juan Pablo and sent him home. Now he is ready to find love and he'll have his own opportunity to find his wife — and a stepmother to his daughter — on "The Bachelor."
