Leading telephone directory provides a solution to missed merchant mobile calls
Mobile ad-tech company CIAmedia today announced a deal with German print, online and mobile telephone directory service Das Telefonbuch. The directory has added CIAmedia's patented call triggered advertising SDK into its Android App, giving its user an automated and easy-to-use number suggest service.
Each time a user makes an unanswered business call, the CIAmedia SDK automatically provides alternative merchants based on location and merchant type which the user can then click to call. Up to 40% of business calls go unanswered when users call outside office hours, lines are busy, numbers are discontinued, businesses simply don't answer the phone, or the user only gets through to voicemail.
The CIAmedia SDK operates as part of the Das Telefonbuch app, in the background, so that alternatives are suggested to the user, even when the app is closed. With CIAmedia's technology inside the Das Telefonbuch app can now detect any unsuccessful business call, independent of where the user sourced and dialled the number from, e.g. following a search on Google, Bing, Yahoo, Yelp, Foursquare or any other site or app.
The service will drive more calls to Das Telefonbuch advertisers, greatly increasing value for advertisers that subscribe and appear in its directory. In addition, CIAmedia's SDK multiplies impressions within the Das Telefonbuch App as every time a user cannot get through to a business the app automatically displays suggestions to the user, greatly increasing the value of its in-app inventory.
Frank Gondorf, Managing Director for Das Telefonbuch-Servicegesellschaft said: "Integrating the CIAmedia SDK allows us to add a new level of convenience to our app users, making the Das Telefonbuch brand relevant to our users on a daily basis whenever a phone call goes unanswered. At the same time we provide an unprecedented opportunity for our advertisers to win new customers when other merchants miss calls."
Claudia Dreier-Poepperl, CEO and founder at CIAmedia, said: "We are delighted to see our patented ad-technology live in the largest market in Europe. For local search apps like Das Telefonbuch our technology represents an opportunity to increase the monetisation of their service offering by filling unanswered calls with highly targeted advertising. The benefits are threefold: increased call traffic to local advertisers, a massive uplift of in-app impressions, and an improved user experience for its customers."
About Das Telefonbuch
Das Telefonbuch is jointly published by 38 publishing houses and the DeTeMedien GmbH. The media provides access any time and anywhere to over 30 million qualified address data: online via dastelefonbuch.de and Windows 8, mobile via mobil.dastelefonbuch.de, via apps for iPhone and iPad, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone 8. Or the classic way via directory inquiry, a printed directory or DVD-ROM. Furthermore, the popular directory offers many more options to find, use and process addresses - all in one.
CIAmedia is a mobile ad-tech company that delivers Call Triggered Advertising, creating entirely new mobile ad-inventory space that is initiated by voice calls and not only based on browsing or in-app activity. Turning almost every phone call into a new advertising opportunity CIAmedia's patented ad-technology, processes a user's call behaviour in real time to provide highly relevant targeting options for advertisers.
The ad-technology is available via the CIAmedia SDK to app publishers and developers who wish to instantly increase calls to their advertisers, impressions and revenue from their apps. CIAmedia's technology also runs in its popular CIA - Caller Identification App™ (cia-app.com) with more than 25 million users around the globe.
Formed in 2013 CIAmedia GmbH is privately held with headquarters in Vienna, Austria.

In high-production environments where release cycles are measured in hours or minutes — not days or weeks — there's little room for mistakes and no room for confusion. Everyone has to understand what's happening, in real time, and have the means to do whatever is necessary to keep applications up and running optimally. DevOps is a high-stakes world, but done well, it delivers the agility and performance to significantly impact business competitiveness.

Then the reality is that most enterprises are embarking on a hybrid cloud strategy and programs. In this Power Panel at 15th Cloud Expo (http://www.CloudComputingExpo.com...
