Drool, Britannia? Is the UK Failing the Cloud?
By Roger Strukhoff
Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 10/31/06 -- Citadon, a leader in integrated Web-based collaboration, document management and business process management, announced the appointment of Gary Greenberger as Executive Vice President of Americas Sales. In this newly created position, Mr. Greenberger will be responsible for managing Citadon's sales organization for North and South America. He will report directly to Howard Koenig, Citadon's President and CEO.

Gary Greenberger joins Citadon with more than twenty years of experience building revenue and sales teams for high-technology companies. Most recently, Mr. Greenberger served as Vice President of Sales for Constructware. Mr Greenberger was instrumental in developing the company's Software as a Service (SaaS) sales model and managed the sales, account management, and vertical business development organizations for the United States and Canada. During his 6 year tenure, AAGR (annual average growth rate) in sales exceeded 85% before the company was successfully sold to Autodesk, Inc.

Prior to joining Constructware, Gary Greenberger was Regional Vice President of Sales for CompuCom Systems, Inc., a 1.5 billion dollar system integrator where he managed a 100-plus person sales and support organization that achieved more than $600 million in annual sales. Mr. Greenberger also was the general manager of the Atlanta branch of Entex Information Services where he grew revenue from $10 million to $100 million. He holds a B.S. in Business Logistics from the College of Business Administration at the Pennsylvania State University.

"Gary's appointment will have a major impact on our ability to grow our presence in the Americas," said Howard Koenig, CEO of Citadon. "He has been a driving force in helping engineering and construction organizations realize the benefit of automating their communication processes. Given his vast knowledge of our industry and proven experience, he is the ideal person to lead for our Americas sales efforts. I am excited to welcome Gary as a valued member of the team."

"I am excited about joining Citadon at a time when interest in advanced web-based collaboration is significantly growing. They have a robust solution to help companies manage the massive amount of documents, data and business processes around mission-critical design and construction projects. I am looking forward to helping our clients realize competitive advantages and significant savings from using Citadon technology," said Mr. Greenberger.
