CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwired) -- 01/16/14 -- The Construction Writers Association (CWA) will hold a social networking reception for construction journalists and marketing communications professionals on Jan. 22, 2014 at the World of Concrete 2014 in Las Vegas, Nev.
The CWA reception will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Jan. 22, in Room N250 of the Las Vegas Convention Center. There is no charge to attend the reception, which will include refreshments and light snacks. Pre-registration is encouraged. CWA members and nonmembers are invited. Register here.
CWA holds networking receptions at leading industry exhibitions as an opportunity for its members and guests to network with fellow industry communicators. "It's always great to see construction communications professionals involved with the CWA exchanging information and sharing insights," said CWA member Carla Biggs, marketing communications and pr/trade media manager for Hilti North America. "These times are so important because time for this kind of networking is harder to come by with each passing year."
Such receptions are a compelling recruiting tool to bring in new members to CWA, Biggs said. "If you want to know the quality of the CWA membership and the organization these networking moments are the best. CWA is a critical resource all construction communications professionals should not just be aware of, but participate in," she said.
Reception sponsors are Caterpillar, Golden Square, Hilti, Performance Marketing, Portland Cement Association, and Two Rivers Marketing at the CWA reception at World of Concrete 2014 . Additional sponsors are welcome. For more information about sponsorships, contact CWA at 1(773) 687-8726 or [email protected].
The CWA social networking reception at the World of Concrete, held early each year, gives the CWA membership a great opportunity to connect with the dedicated commercial concrete and masonry construction industries. "This is one of the first industry trade shows of the year, so it will be an ideal time for attendees to look back at a challenging 2013 and what may be ahead for the industry in 2014," said Patti Flesher, communications director for Portland Cement Association.
The Construction Writers Association (CWA), founded in 1958, is a non-profit, non-partisan, international organization that provides a forum for journalism, photography, marketing, and communications professionals in all segments of the construction industry to connect with other professionals and enhance skills through education.
