DALLAS, Jan. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- For the 17th consecutive year, TDIndustries has been named to FORTUNE magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For" list.  Ranked number 82, TDIndustries continues to make the list, according to Chief Executive Officer Harold MacDowell.

Says MacDowell, "We have attained 'All Star' status by making the list ever since the award's inception in 1998, but our success is directly tied to our people. Our emphasis on training and career planning provides our employees with outstanding career paths that, in turn, give them the opportunities and confidence to succeed in their jobs."

TD entered a short documentary entitled "A Day in the Life of a TDPartner," as one element of their submittal.  Posted on TDIndustries' Channel on YouTube, the film follows TD employees, who are known as 'TDPartners,' from sun up until sun down, demonstrating their work-life balance, camaraderie and loyalty.  Adds MacDowell, "The heart of TD is a sense of family, and it is wrapped around a common purpose and shared rewards. We operate from a foundation of trust and accountability."

Recent Dallas projects include: Thanksgiving Tower Renovation, the Parkland Hospital Central Utility Plant and Southwest Airlines HQ addition, among others. More than 1,800 skilled personnel work at the $400 MM firm throughout Texas and Arizona of which more than 960 are in the Dallas area. As an employee-owned company, TDPartners share a pride of ownership that permeates the firm's culture and emphasizes quality and safety on every job.

About FORTUNE's Methodology
To choose the 100 Best Companies to Work For, FORTUNE partners with the Great Place to Work Institute to conduct the most extensive employee survey in corporate America: 257 firms participated in this year's survey, representing more than 252,000 employees. Two-thirds of a company's score is based on the results of the institute's Trust Index survey. The other third is based on responses to a Culture Audit, which includes detailed questions about pay and benefit programs, hiring practices, internal communication, training, recognition programs and diversity efforts.
