SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Tommaso Palomba, a YouTube fanatic and military service member, recently announced his decision to start Channlist.com, a new video social network. According to the Indiegogo page, Channlist will be a social network that connects and collaborate all the channels of YouTube. The channel will bring viewers better content from stars, more news about what video makers are doing, and an inside look at their favorite channels' future videos. The project will begin with YouTube and eventually expand across other video-sharing platforms as well.

Ultimately, Palomba and his team hope to encourage channels on YouTube connect with each other, collaborate on videos, and build lasting friendships over their passion. He is currently collecting donations through Indiegogo in hopes to raise $500,000 for the project's web development. In exchange for contributions, Palomba is offering a variety of perks such as gift cards and game systems.

"The impact this will have on the online video industry is huge," stated an article on Channlist's Indiegogo page. The article went on to explain that many videos fail to connect users on a social level.

"You can look at every video sharing network and notice that as both a video creator and an avid viewer, video-sharing platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, and Daily Motion lack in connecting its users on a more social level. It's truly difficult to find people of similar interests that you can collaborate with on projects, grow your audience and create awesome content."

Individuals interested in learning more about Palomba and Channlist can visit the project's Indiegogo page for more information. Customers can also subscribe to Palomba's YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter accounts for frequent updates about the project.
