Nlyte Software Partners With HP Converged Management Consulting Services

Nlyte Software, the world's leading software company focused on the management and optimization of data centers, today announced a global collaboration agreement with HP and the available integration connectors to HP’s Universal CMDB and Discovery products. As one of the largest data center suppliers in the world, HP has selected Nlyte to be part of its Converged Management Consulting Services portfolio announced this week.

“Nlyte’s technology, combined with HP’s data center consulting services and DCIM expertise, addresses the growing need for better integration between the physical, logical and virtual layers of an IT structure, and allows organizations to efficiently and optimally manage the constant change of the physical assets within a data center,” said Doug Sabella, CEO and President, Nlyte Software. “This correlation of logical and virtual services with their underlying physical structure provides a highly effective means of capacity planning from the services layer all the way down to the supporting hardware resources. Nlyte’s solution is focused on managing the lifecycle of all assets over the entire useable life of the data center itself. This agreement now offers end-users easy access to the industry’s most advanced DCIM solution.”

Nlyte’s DCIM suite seamlessly integrates with the key components of an organization’s existing IT management framework, including HP’s uCMDB, by extending the visibility of those systems in real-time. The Nlyte platform is a modern web-based offering that is highly scalable, includes predictive physical infrastructure capacity management capabilities along with a robust business intelligence reporting engine, and patented technology that optimizes the add/moves and changes within the data center itself.

“DCIM helps organizations close the gap between IT and facilities management and provides oversight of the entire data center; however, market fragmentation and lack of proper planning and service management alignment can make implementing a DCIM solution challenging,” said Rick Einhorn, vice president, Technology Services, Datacenter Consulting, HP. “The new HP Converged Management Consulting Services combined with the Nlyte platform helps address customers’ challenges by delivering deep expertise in ITSM, IT infrastructure, and facilities, a framework to connect goals, systems and processes with a top DCIM platform.”

Wearable devices have come of age. The primary applications of wearables so far have been "the Quantified Self" or the tracking of one's fitness and health status. We propose the evolution of wearables into social and emotional communication devices. Our BE(tm) sensor uses light to visualize the skin conductance response. Our sensors are very inexpensive and can be massively distributed to audiences or groups of any size, in order to gauge reactions to performances, video, or any kind of present...
