HERNDON, Va., Jan. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) is seeking nominations by Friday, January 31 to participate in Destination Innovation, a program highlighting technology advancements emerging from our region. Presented by the NVTC Technology Innovations Committee and Capital Business, the weekly business publication of The Washington Post, Destination Innovation is the place to showcase innovations in front of key players in Northern Virginia's technology community.
Eight companies will be selected to compete in each of the following four categories:
- Health and Education
- Social and Commerce
- Energy and the Environment
- Government and Security
All 32 selected companies will compete for online votes on the Capital Business website in round one of the competition. The top four companies in each category will then exhibit and compete during the Destination Innovation event on April 2, 2014 at The Washington Post headquarters.
Destination Innovation will connect innovators from both large and small companies with parties interested in collaborating on technology development and job creation. The event will leverage an exhibition, networking, industry speakers and innovation pitches. Companies in the B2B, B2G, B2C and B2E markets will be able to network with potential partners and customers and promote further growth and technological advancements in our region.
