Plastic Surgeon in Houston Highlights Benefits of Facelift-Neck Lift Combo

Dr. James F. Boynton's Unique Approach to the Combination of Facelift and Neck Lift Procedures Offers His Patients a Number of Distinct Advantages

HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 01/28/14 -- "Facelift and neck lift procedures are actually interrelated, so much so that performing one without the other can potentially lead to unsatisfactory results," writes Houston plastic surgeon James F. Boynton to begin a recent blog post. Titled, "Recovery from a Facelift Combined with a Neck Lift," the post covers two innovative techniques Dr. Boynton combines to perform the facial rejuvenation procedure more effectively, as well as what patients can expect in regard to the recovery and healing processes.

According to Dr. Boynton, "I typically perform a short scar facelift combined with an open neck lift and platysmaplasty, all of which have proven to produce fantastic results and high levels of satisfaction among my patients." Some additional advantages of this unique approach highlighted throughout the post are listed below.

  • The operation can be performed as an office-based, outpatient procedure.
  • Scarring behind the ear and into the hairline region can often be avoided.
  • The short scar facelift is typically less aggressive than traditional methods, often facilitating the recovery process.
  • The entirety of the recovery period is generally one to two weeks at most.

In the end, Dr. Boynton concludes the post by providing a simple comparison: "In my opinion, this is a drastic improvement over traditional methods that often require longer recovery periods and may even inhibit normal activities, such as driving, for up to three weeks."
