Pope John Paul II Students will Hand-Deliver Food Donations during National School Choice Week - Jan. 30

 

SLIDELL, La., Jan. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The students at Pope John Paul II Catholic High School will show their appreciation for their community by delivering food donations to the Community Christian Concern on January 30. The donations will be collected through an inter-school drive that celebrates Catholic Schools Week and National School Choice Week. Pope John Paul II students will also participate in and host special masses, as well as hand out "thank you" notes to the community for their support during the week.

The week of events at Pope John Paul II is part of 5,500+ independently planned events of all kinds taking place during National School Choice Week 2014 – the nation's largest-ever celebration of educational opportunity.

WHAT:

Students at Pope John Paul II High School will deliver food to the Community Christian Concern following an inter-school Mass at the high school. There will also be several other special Masses held during the week in honor of Catholic Schools Week and National School Choice Week.
