Kansas City Laser Eye Surgery Practice Fills Two Senior Leadership Positions

Angie Beerup and Tammy Crane, Respectively, Have Been Named Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Durrie Vision

OVERLAND PARK, KS -- (Marketwired) -- 01/29/14 -- Just over a month after naming Harry Campbell the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Durrie Vision, the Kansas City LASIK and eye surgery practice has announced the appointment of two more senior leadership officials. In a statement released last week, Campbell and Dr. Daniel Durrie, the head LASIK surgeon and founder of Durrie Vision, reported that Angie Beerup will assume the role of Chief Marketing Officer, and Tammy Crane will take on the responsibilities of Chief Operating Officer. Both new officials have been promoted from within the practice.

Beerup, the former Executive Director of Sales and Marketing at Durrie Vision, will focus her continuous efforts on advancing what is already considered to be an exceptional eye care and surgical experience for patients. Additionally, she will continue to oversee all marketing and sales operations to accelerate the practice's growth.

As the former Director of Medical Operations and a member of the Durrie Vision team for over ten years, Crane brings to her new position a total of 23 years of experience in the field of ophthalmology operations. Under her title, she will manage the daily operations of the practice, focusing on growth and unique touch points within the patient experience.

Regarding his decision to name Beerup the new Chief Marketing Officer, Campbell says, "Angie has a remarkable sales and marketing background with a proven track record of delivering profitable growth and customer service excellence in the field of elective medicine." Concerning Crane's credentials for her role as Chief Operating Officer, the Durrie Vision CEO notes, "[Tammy] brings extensive operations expertise, a diverse set of leadership skills, and a successful track record that we will leverage across our organization."

In response to the compilation of recent leadership changes engrossing the news for the Kansas City eye surgery practice, Dr. Durrie remarks, "Durrie Vision is in a position to capitalize on the strength and experience of our highly-capable leadership team. We value the talent within our organization, as we grow strong leaders and provide opportunities for top performers. These changes will have a positive impact on our long-term plans for continued, profitable growth and expansion."

Even though it’s now Microservices Journal, long-time fans of SOA World Magazine can take comfort in the fact that the URL – soa.sys-con.com – remains unchanged. Skeptics, however, might say that this change is nothing more than an exercise in buzzword-hopping. SOA is passé, and now that people are ...
