ORLANDO, FL and TONSBERG, NORWAY -- (Marketwired) -- 01/30/14 -- WindSim AS, a pioneer and leading provider of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) technology used to optimize wind turbine placement, wind performance, and bankable AEP (Annual Energy Production), announced the launch of the WindSim Cloud solution. The Wind Resource Assessment community now has an alternative solution, overcoming limitations related to cost, time or lack of in-house CFD expertise.
WindSim Cloud is a service reporting the Annual Energy Production (AEP) for any planned or existing wind farm. Every project that you start will automatically create a powerful Cluster to run your simulations. The Cluster will consist of more than 72 Cores and more than 120 GB of RAM. If you start more than one project yet another Cluster will be established with the same configuration for every new project, there are no queues, and no additional waiting addressing our customers need for reliable results in a timely manner. After the simulations are done the cluster is erased. There will be no possibility to recover any information used during the simulation, which also guarantees the confidentiality of your data.
John Olaf Romma, CEO of WindSim AS, said, "Access to powerful computing resources makes cloud simulations attractive and offers an alternative to running simulations locally. WindSim Cloud is fast, cost effective and easily accessible. Everyone can run cloud simulations on a pay per project basis. WindSim Cloud nicely complements the existing full-fetched WindSim CFD software suite."
WindSim Cloud runs in geographically dispersed datacenters that comply with key industry standards, such as ISO/IEC 27001:2005, for security and reliability. In addition to datacenter, network, and personnel security practices, WindSim Cloud incorporates security practices at the application and platform layers. Access WindSim Cloud
