New App Puts Your Salesforce.com Content Inside LinkedIn Profiles

SAN DIEGO, January 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

Ebsta, the Chrome Plugin for Salesforce, today launched a free app that integrates Salesforce with LinkedIn.

The new app alerts users to existing contact records inside Salesforce whilst they are viewing network profiles on LinkedIn. With a single click, Salesforce users can view the corresponding customer records, activities, opportunities and Chatter feed in a small window without leaving the profile they are viewing.

"Many companies struggle to get their Sales Reps to fully engage with Salesforce as they prefer to work inside websites like LinkedIn. With this new free app, Reps can work inside LinkedIn and still be inside Salesforce. By alerting users to existing information in Salesforce, and enabling them to engage with Salesforce with minimum effort, we empower Sales Reps to take full advantage of the world's #No1 professional network whilst ensuring Salesforce remains the hub of customer knowledge" said Guy Rubin, Ebsta's founder and CEO.

Members of the Sales Team at OnlyMarketingJobs.com were among the first Salesforce customers to test the pre-release version of Ebsta for LinkedIn. Simon Lewis, Founder at OnlyMarketingJobs.com said, "For super-charged Sales People looking to out-perform the competition, Ebsta's LinkedIn integration for Salesforce is a no-brainer. Our account management team love the free Ebsta app as it negates the need to constantly search Salesforce for customer information. Everyone involved in social selling should have this app in their toolkit."

Benefits of Ebsta for LinkedIn include:

  • Save Time - Reference Salesforce with minimum effort.
  • Increase Salesforce Adoption - Encourage Sales People to update records regularly by allowing one click access to their Salesforce records.
  • Drive Sales - Better connect with customers to close more deals.

Connected devices and the Internet of Things are getting significant momentum in 2014. In his session at Internet of @ThingsExpo, Jim Hunter, Chief Scientist & Technology Evangelist at Greenwave Systems, examined three key elements that together will drive mass adoption of the IoT before the end of 2015. The first element is the recent advent of robust open source protocols (like AllJoyn and WebRTC) that facilitate M2M communication. The second is broad availability of flexible, cost-effective ...
Collecting data in the field and configuring multitudes of unique devices is a time-consuming, labor-intensive process that can stretch IT resources. When an enterprise builds a hybrid IaaS cloud connecting its data center to one or more public clouds, security is often a major topic along with the other challenges involved. Security is closely intertwined with the networking choices made for the hybrid cloud. Traditional networking approaches for building a hybrid cloud try to kludge together the enterprise infrastructure with the public cloud. Consequently this approach requires risky, deep "surgery" including changes to firewalls, subnets...

The true value of the Internet of Things (IoT) lies not just in the data, but through the services that protect the data, perform the analysis and present findings in a usable way. You use an agile process; your goal is to make your organization more agile. But what about your data infrastructure? The truth is, today's databases are anything but agile - they are effectively static repositories that are cumbersome to work with, difficult to change, and cannot keep pace with application demands. Performance suffers as a result, and it takes far longer than it should to deliver new features and capabilities needed to make your organization competitive. As your application an...

Over the years, a variety of methodologies have emerged in order to overcome the challenges related to project constraints. The successful use of each methodology seems highly context-dependent. The term culture has had a polarizing effect among DevOps supporters. Some propose that culture change is critical for success with DevOps, but are remiss to define culture.
