Guidewire Software Wins Celent XCelent Award for ‘Breadth of Functionality’ in Policy Administration

Guidewire Software®, a provider of software products to Property/Casualty insurers, today announced that it has been named the winner of the 2013 XCelent Awards for Breadth of Functionality in Celent’s North American Policy Administration Systems 2013 Personal, Commercial, and Specialty ABCD Vendor View1 report.

The XCelent Awards are based on Celent’s ABCD Vendor View, a framework used for evaluating technology solutions. Vendor scores were determined through RFIs, customer reference surveys and interviews which provided quantitative as well as qualitative data. An excerpt from the report can be viewed here.

“The effort Guidewire has put into PolicyCenter’s usability and configurability is evident,” said Donald Light, Senior Analyst in Celent’s insurance practice and co-author of the report. “In the past two years, PolicyCenter has seen a high level of market acceptance among all sizes of insurers, and across global regions. PolicyCenter, together with ClaimCenter and BillingCenter, offers insurers a good option for a fully integrated core systems suite.”

Guidewire’s Vice President of Marketing, Brian Desmond, thanked Celent for the recognition. “We’re proud of the momentum we have had thus far with our PolicyCenter product and appreciate receiving this recognition from Celent, a well-respected P&C Insurance analyst firm.”

Desmond added, “It is humbling to us that our customers assigned exceptional ratings in all categories via the client feedback survey and that the functionality we have worked very hard to build into PolicyCenter has been so favorably received.”
