Healthsense and Casenet Announce Strategic Partnership, Fallon Health Pilot

Service and Technology Leaders Launch Collaboration to Advance Senior Healthcare Management

ST. PAUL, MN and BEDFORD, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 02/03/14 -- Healthsense®, Inc., a leading provider of aging services technology for the full senior care spectrum, announced today a strategic partnership with Casenet®, LLC and plans to integrate the Healthsense eNeighbor® reporting platform into the Casenet TruCare® enterprise care management system.

The integrated system will include the Healthsense eNeighbor system, which passively monitors activities of daily living (ADLs) for seniors, and the Casenet TruCare system, an extensible enterprise care management platform that enables organizations to isolate, target and deliver specific care management programs to populations with unique risk characteristics. This combined system will allow for real-time workflow case and disease management for health insurers and risk-bearing providers, enabling more precise targeting of early care intervention for seniors with chronic diseases and other major health concerns.

Fallon Health, a nationally recognized and innovative 229,000-member healthcare services organization based in Worcester, Mass., will pilot the combined eNeighbor/TruCare offering. Fallon, a current Healthsense and Casenet client, will utilize the integrated platforms to advance the quality and delivery of care to its senior members.

"Fallon is very proud of the high quality of care it delivers to its members and to seniors in particular. Combining the capabilities of the Healthsense eNeighbor and Casenet TruCare platforms into a single care management tool will dramatically increase the identification of the early onset of chronic disease episodes and will allow us to more effectively coordinate care for our members," said Sarika Aggarwal, M.D., Chief Medical Officer, Fallon Health.

Scott Walker, Fallon Health's CFO, commented, "Quality ratings are of paramount importance to us, as they demonstrate our commitment to delivering the very best care possible. The Healthsense/Casenet partnership will help us seamlessly integrate an offering that will further transform our business and the way we deliver care to our senior members. We are excited to continue to work with both of these innovative organizations which are proactively addressing the challenges we all face in healthcare."

"By combining two best-in-class platforms, Healthsense and Casenet will offer a groundbreaking solution that is both flexible and powerful. Leveraging data from multiple sources will allow us to more readily identify seniors in need, ultimately allowing for earlier care intervention and enabling the frail elderly to more safely and securely age in place," said Healthsense President and CEO, A.R. Weiler.

This collaboration helps bring the industry one step closer to improved senior health by ensuring care adheres to clinical standards and evidence-based medicine, while driving differential care and meaningful engagement with seniors through instantaneous reporting and integrated workflows.

"The integration of Healthsense data will further demonstrate the extensibility of the TruCare enterprise care management system and benefit of differential care management. This unique approach will enable better senior health through informed interventional recommendations to caregivers and others engaged with seniors," said Peter Masanotti, President and CEO, Casenet.

Healthsense and Casenet expect to release the combined commercial offering by the end of 2014.
