"Despite a very cold and snowy weather pattern up until the Big Game, with well above normal snowfall for the area, our forecast remained consistent from 45 days out saying that NO snow would occur," Henry Margusity, Senior Expert Meteorologist for AccuWeather, Inc. said. "In other words, the biggest concern for game conditions – snow – wasn't a problem, as we expected."

AccuWeather offered ongoing updates leading up to the game on www.WillitSnow.com, featuring predictions, columns, and commentary by some of AccuWeather's most prominent meteorologists, including Bernie Rayno, Elliot Abrams, Henry Margusity, and Evan Myers. During the Big Game, AccuWeather linked www.WillitSnow.com directly to the new MinuteCast™ on www.AccuWeather.com. MinuteCast is a highly localized Minute by Minute™ weather prediction that includes precipitation start and end times for every location in the U.S. and Canada.

"There had been some healthy debate on www.WillitSnow.com as to the game conditions, but it became clear as we evaluated weather patterns collectively that the game was going to take place between two cold systems," Bernie Rayno, Senior Expert Meteorologist and Executive Producer of Video Broadcasting for AccuWeather, Inc. said. "The morning of the game, we called for a high of 51 °F and 47 °F at kick off. Looking ahead, we can expect more snow in the near future."

"Our meteorologists have been forecasting with Superior Accuracy™ for over 50 years. We thought www.WillitSnow.com would be a great place to give weather and sports fans alike an exciting behind-the-scenes look at how our great forecasts come together for important events that effect peoples' lives," John Dokes Chief Marketing Officer for AccuWeather, Inc. said.
