InnVest Real Estate Investment Trust Responds to Unitholder Request

TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 02/03/14 -- The Board of Trustees of InnVest Real Estate Investment Trust ("InnVest") (TSX:INN.UN) today announced, in response to a request from Orange Capital, LLC ("Orange Capital") for the opportunity to engage with InnVest, that it plans to meet again with Orange Capital. Representatives of InnVest have previously met with representatives of Orange Capital to engage in a constructive discussion regarding InnVest.

Orange Capital has made public filings indicating that it beneficially owns approximately 10.17% of the outstanding units of InnVest.

The Board of Trustees values the views of InnVest's unitholders and welcomes the opportunity to hear again directly from Orange Capital.

InnVest is an unincorporated open-ended real estate investment trust which owns a portfolio of 127 hotels across Canada representing approximately 16,000 guest rooms operated under internationally recognized brands. InnVest also holds a 50% interest in Choice Hotels Canada Inc., one of the largest franchisors of hotels in Canada.
