Tokyo, Feb 5, 2014 - (JCN Newswire) - Layers Consulting, Ltd. (hereafter Layers) established and officially began business operations at subsidiary Layers Consulting America (hereafter Layers America) on February 5th.
To accompany the acceleration of global business and the recovery of the American economy, many Japanese companies have been reviewing their business strategies in America. In order to support Japanese companies' new business expansions and reforms in the American market from a locally-based business, Layers established a local branch.
While Layers America and the Layers based in Japan closely work together, they will support Japanese companies' headquarters and their on-site projects, and contribute to the establishment of optimum business models and the achievement of business goals in the American market. The main consulting services are supply chain for manufacturing companies that have a good track record in Japan, cost management, and business process reform that gives Japanese companies competitive power that makes use of their strengths. Presently, a few Japanese companies are already receiving and taking care of orders in America and moving forward together with Layers.
"Now, the American economy focusing on car production is in an extremely favorable position," said Layers America's President Yuichi Ito when asked about his ambitions. "In 2013, the amount of new cars sold breached 15 million and once again housing construction and housing sales are both showing an upward trend. Nevertheless, if you compare this to before the Lehman Shock, I think there is still some room for development and expansion.
"Through cost management reforms and supply chain reforms for global leading companies that represent Japan in industries such as manufacturing, we have Japanese best practice know-how revered around the world for team organization, on-site improvement (on-site dispatch type business reform), etc. Moreover, we have come to understand the American work style that gives importance to each individual and its characteristic rationality through business reform consulting for American companies.
"We think we want to arrange Japanese best practice in tune with America's culture and business climate based on our experience with business reform consulting for our clients' American corporations. We believe our Japanese-style know-how that will be offered in America will surely be able to have an impact on American business / industry stimulation and manufacturing remodeling."
