SOUTH BEND, Ind., Feb. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Press Ganey, the leading patient experience improvement firm, today announced that its Quality Performer(SM) Hospital eMeasures 1.3 solution has been certified for use by eligible hospitals to meet Meaningful Use Stage 2 Clinical Quality eMeasures reporting requirements as of December 5, 2013. Certified as an EHR Module under the Drummond Group's Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) program, this solution is compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act established incentive payments under Medicare and Medicaid programs for eligible providers and hospitals that have demonstrated the Meaningful Use of EHR technology – a key component of the federal government's push to improve clinical care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHRs.
Press Ganey's suite of performance solutions is designed to measure, analyze and act upon targeted improvement opportunities across the entire patient experience. As a critical component of its services for hospitals, the Quality Performer Hospital eMeasures solution supports regulatory clinical quality reporting requirements and performance assessment objectives. The solution offers:
- Data collection and transmission that complements any EHR solution
- The ability to review, verify and identify any data integrity issues and augment eMeasures for completeness and accuracy prior to transmission
- Robust reporting and analysis on the data for quality improvement purposes

This EHR Module (Press Ganey, December 5, 2013, Quality Performer Hospital eMeasures version 1.3, Certification ID Number 12052013-2248-8) is compliant with the ONC 2014 Edition criteria and has been certified by an ONC-ACB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Hospitals using Press Ganey's Quality Performer Hospital eMeasures solution pay an annual subscription fee for data collection, data processing and data transmission software and services. This fee includes initial set up, training, and ongoing support and education related to the product and to the reporting requirements.
