Improving the Efficiency of SOA-Based Applications
jhv1blz5 wrote: The article validated SOA as an IT architecture paradigm that can be leveraged in many ways. Taking data storage, scalability and application performance to a nifty level using SOA Application Grid infrastructure will no doubt enhance data and application performance on Oracle architecture platforms, it also has the promise of a cost effective and efficient IT delivery model. The very benefits of SOA.

Mixed Signals Provides Edge in Quality Monitoring for IPTV Providers at Telco TV
Digital Content Monitoring Assures a Flawless IPTV User Experience

By: PR Newswire
Nov. 6, 2006 01:30 PM

DALLAS, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Mixed Signals, Inc., leading providers of digital content monitoring systems, today announced that it will demo both Sentry(TM) and Medius(TM) in TANDBERG Television's booth, # 521, during the Telco TV Conference.

Mixed Signals' Sentry Digital Content Monitor equips IPTV providers with new features that further enhance its monitoring capabilities, most notably the addition of advanced quality detection, such as video freeze and video black and individual speaker audio silence. With a long track record in cable and satellite, Sentry has proven to reduce operational costs by helping to eliminate trouble calls from subscribers. Sentry is also a cost effective solution because it simultaneously monitors hundreds of programs, both HD and SD, in real time, without having to cycle or sample.

For large systems which require a greater number of Sentry units to support their networks, Medius makes advanced monitoring easy to deploy, enhances Sentry's reporting capabilities, and minimizes administration effort. The product allows providers to support monitoring for large systems with significant monitoring needs through a single web-based interface. It also provides customizable management reports on the efficiency of their entire system. To scale operational efficiency efforts, Medius will allow for the aggregation and correlation of all reports, including bandwidth management reports from multiple locations.

According to Eric Conley, CEO of Mixed Signals, "Sentry provides an efficient monitoring solution for IPTV, and it is crucial for IPTV providers to utilize the best monitoring tools to retain captured customers. Sentry is the most comprehensive and proven monitoring solution of its kind."

Mixed Signals will demo in Tandberg's Booth # 521.

Telco TV will take place at the Gaylord Ranch in Dallas, Texas from November 6th - 8th.
