Funds Raised to Help Team Member Donated by Global Travel Network Utah

Recently, a family member related to a Global Travel Network Utah employee in the marketing department desperately needed an operation to replace a kidney. The family member had been battling kidney cancer for a long time. The gentleman is the main provider for his family, which includes his wife, two daughters, and mother. One of his daughters was willing to donate her kidney to her father, but she unfortunately was not a match.

The gentleman is on dialysis treatments for nine hours a night, and is hoping to switch to a different form of treatment. Unfortunately, his condition does impact him in all aspects of his life, and he was struggling to provide for his family. He hopes to increase awareness about the Kidney Swap Program, which is a transplant program that is implemented in many hospitals around the country.

With the help of Global Travel Network Utah, the Booster campaign, which was run online, was able to raise nearly $2,500 for the family to help with their food expenses and rent while the gentleman waits and hopes for a kidney that will be a match to his body's antibodies.
