NEW YORK, Feb. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AREAWARE, manufacturers of the popular wooden robot puzzle Cubebot, will exhibit at the 111th American International Toy Fair, the largest and most important toy and youth product trade show in the Western hemisphere. This is the 4th year that AREAWARE has exhibited to the thousands of buyers around the world who attend the show. Highlights at the show include additions to the popular Cubebot line and Plywood Playing Cards.
Robot toys are usually made of plastic and require batteries – but not Cubebot! Designed by David Weeks, the beech wood puzzle is equipped with a powerful hardwood frame and elastic band muscles. Cubebot's perfect cube form can be easily unfolded into dozens of fun and entertaining poses, but the real challenge begins when trying to put him back into his original form. Now available are new NINJABOTS in Micro and Small, and new micro versions of the more complex Julien and Guthrie characters.
Designed by Donald Corey for competitive gaming and imaginative play, the Plywood Playing Cards have interlocking slots which allow the user to both build and play with the deck. Crafted from Birch plywood, the cards take their inspiration from Mid-Century design, and come encased in a Plywood Box for easy storage and gifting.
"Our customers have always told us that they love the tactile, organic nature of wood products, so we were very excited to enter into the toy business with Cubebot back in 2011," notes Noel Wiggins, AREAWARE president. "AREAWARE is thrilled to once again be a part of the largest trade show in the Western Hemisphere," Wiggin's continues. "Toy Fair enables us to connect our top selling toys with retailers from around the globe – which is very exciting and ultimately profitable."
Toy Fair connects manufacturers, importers and distributors with 10,000+ forward-looking and fast-acting retailers from more than 100 countries ... buyers who are on the lookout for everything from Cubebotto Plywood Playing Cards that will attract the attention of kids and families. Boasting over 1,100 exhibiting companies from around the world and more than 150,000 products showcased at Toy Fair every year, the 111th American International Toy Fair is taking place from February 16-19, 2014 at the Jacob K.
