CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwired) -- 02/11/14 -- Amlan International, a wholly owned subsidiary of Oil-Dri Corporation of America (NYSE: ODC) dedicated to animal health, will host a pre-congress forum on necrotic enteritis in poultry at the upcoming 2014 AECACEM on February 26 in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Dr. Dennis Wages, professor of poultry health management at the College of Veterinary Medicine, North Carolina State University, will open the forum with a talk on the prevention and control of necrotic enteritis using traditional and non-traditional approaches. Dr. Wages has been on faculty at the College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University since 1984. In his career, Dr. Wages has presented over 250 scientific reports and authored over 100 articles, book chapters and abstracts. Dr. Wages' specialty is in clinical poultry medicine, antimicrobial use and antimicrobial resistance in food animals.
Dr. LeAnn Johnston, Technical Services Manager, and Dr. Jose Ignacio Linares, Technical Service Consultant Mexico, for Amlan International will introduce new product research and alternative treatments for necrotic enteritis, and discuss Calibrin-Z, the company's breakthrough product for bacterial and fungal toxin binding in livestock.
