Gladskin wins Beauty Astir Award 2013

AMSTERDAM, February 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

Breakthrough for people with acne, eczema, rosacea and skin irritation

Gladskin of The Netherlands has won the prestigious Beauty Astir Award for Best Beauty Discovery of 2013. For 29 years, the Dutch Beauty press, 'BeautypersNL',has awarded the Beauty Astir Awards - an independent press award from a panel of 38 expert judges. Gladskin's revolutionary products have been developed for people with acne, rosacea, eczema and skin irritation. The effective and patented Staphefekt™ enzyme in Gladskin kills only Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, which cause the majority of all skin infections. It is the world's only product that leaves all good bacteria - essential for a healthy skin - intact. This marks a new era in the approach to skin problems.

The assessment of the panel of judges: "Gladskin has discovered that skin problems such as eczema, acne and rosaceacan be caused or aggravatedby particular bacteria. And they have found a wayto eliminate only these, without killing the healthyskin flora that is naturally present on every skin. Clearly Gladskin has been developed by great scientific minds. For people who have tried everything, Gladskin's targeted approachcanoffer a real solution. Pure, intelligent skincare, without any unneccesary additives, itdoes just what it's intended to do."

How Gladskin works

Many people suffer from skin problems such as rosacea, acne or eczema. Scientific research has demonstrated that Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) bacteria cause the majority of all skin infections and exacerbate many skin problems. In contrast to antibiotics and products containing acids and alcohol, with Gladskin, Micreos has developed the first product that targets only the S. aureus bacterium. As a result, Gladskin contributes to a healthy bacterial skin balance. This has turned out to be a significant breakthrough for many people with acne, eczema, rosacea and other skin irritations.

Mark Offerhaus, CEO Micreos: "We're very pleased with this recognition by an independent expert jury. People with acne, eczema, rosacea and skin irritation now have an extra tool to calm their skin. Many customers experience Gladskin as a real 'life changer'- and are keen to share their experience for the benefit of others. Thanks to our completely new approach the use of antibiotics can often be avoided. More products will be introduced in the course of 2014."

When an enterprise builds a hybrid IaaS cloud connecting its data center to one or more public clouds, security is often a major topic along with the other challenges involved. Security is closely intertwined with the networking choices made for the hybrid cloud. Traditional networking approaches for building a hybrid cloud try to kludge together the enterprise infrastructure with the public cloud. Consequently this approach requires risky, deep "surgery" including changes to firewalls, subnets...

The true value of the Internet of Things (IoT) lies not just in the data, but through the services that protect the data, perform the analysis and present findings in a usable way. With many IoT elements rooted in traditional IT components, Big Data and IoT isn’t just a play for enterprise. In fact, the IoT presents SMBs with the prospect of launching entirely new activities and exploring innovative areas. CompTIA research identifies several areas where IoT is expected to have the greatest impac...
2015 predictions circa 1970: houses anticipate our needs and adapt, city infrastructure is citizen and situation aware, office buildings identify and preprocess you. Container technology is sending shock waves through the world of cloud computing. Heralded as the 'next big thing,' containers provide software owners a consistent way to package their software and dependencies while infrastructure operators benefit from a standard way to deploy and run them. How do software owners track the usag...

The term culture has had a polarizing effect among DevOps supporters. Some propose that culture change is critical for success with DevOps, but are remiss to define culture. Some talk about a DevOps culture but then reference activities that could lead to culture change and there are those that talk about culture change as a set of behaviors that need to be adopted by those in IT. There is no question that businesses successful in adopting a DevOps mindset have seen departmental culture change, ...
