KANSAS CITY, Mo., Feb. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Jeremy Franklin, a successful business serving Kansas City motorists since 2001, has been selected to be a Mitsubishi Motors dealership. The company will be known as Jeremy Franklin Mitsubishi of Kansas City.
"We are thrilled to join the Mitsubishi brand and to offer this high-quality line to our customers as part of our full-service automotive business," Franklin said. "Now more than ever, we are positioned to offer ultimate vehicle ownership satisfaction to more Kansas City-area motorists."
Franklin said the dealership's current operations – Meineke Car Care maintenance services, quality preowned vehicles and Capital Finance vehicle finance company – will remain in force and will be enhanced by the addition of Mitsubishi warranty maintenance services.
"We look forward to welcoming Mitsubishi customers from Lee's Summit, Independence, Blue Springs, Raytown, south Kansas City and around the region to our convenient location at I-435 and 87th Street," Franklin said. "We pledge our best efforts to ensure that Mitsubishi owners and all our customers have an excellent vehicle ownership and motoring experience."
To facilitate the move, Jeremy Franklin has acquired the new-vehicle inventory and other Mitsubishi-related assets of Lee's Summit Mitsubishi, which closed operations this month. Included are new Outlander, Outlander Sport, Mirage and Lancer models available for immediate sale.
Kirk Smith, Mitsubishi's Western zone director based in Dallas, said: "We associate with businesses that are energetic, enthusiastic and committed to customer satisfaction. We are pleased that Jeremy Franklin is part of the Mitsubishi Motors family."
Franklin said his sales, service and auto financing staffs are committed to exceeding the expectations of Mitsubishi customers, especially with routine maintenance and warranty repair services.
"Mitsubishi's high standards, combined with our Meineke Car Care guidelines, mean that owners of any type of vehicle can expect superb service," Franklin said. "We look forward to serving Mitsubishi owners."
Hector Espinosa, general manager and partner of Jeremy Franklin Mitsubishi, said the 33-employee business expects to add seven employees within the next month, including some former Lee's Summit Mitsubishi employees. More employee growth is expected later, Espinosa said.
Mitsubishi Motors, which assembles vehicles at plants in Normal, Ill., and around the world, saw a nearly 8 percent increase in U.S. sales in 2013 vs. 2012 and expects to grow about 25 percent in 2014 on the strength of an aggressive business plan announced last year.
The acquisition comes at defining moment for both Mitsubishi and Jeremy Franklin.
Mitsubishi plans to add new models soon, including the Outlander plug-in hybrid that recently won the 2014 "technology of the year" honor from the Automotive Researchers' & Journalists' Conference. The automaker also is bringing back the Montero and Montero Sport models and is developing a midsized sedan in partnership with Renault.
As for the dealership, Franklin said: "We're joining a great automotive brand that pledged to invest in growth at the same time new construction and other improvements are coming to south Kansas City. We are proud to be part of what is shaping up to be an economic revival for our brand partner as well as our neighborhood."

Should they be cautious though? Absolutely. The truth is that DevOps and the enterprise are at best strange bedfellows. The movement has its roots in t...

As the world moves from DevOps to NoOps, application deployment to the cloud ought to become a lot simpler. However, applications have been architected with a much tighter coupling than it needs to be which makes deployment in different environments and migration between them harder. DevOps is a high-stakes world, but done well, it delivers the agility and performance to significantly impact business competitiveness.

One target database is Postgres Plus Cloud Database, which includes its own RESTful API. Trove was originally developed around MySQL, whose interfaces are significantly less complicated than those of the Postgres cloud database. In his session at 16th Cloud...

However, communication seems to be the common denominator of the many challenges that project management methodologies intend to resolve.
