BestValueSchools.com recently published a series of free articles that ranks U.S. colleges and universities for ROI across four geographic regions. The site ranks dozens of top national schools based on data from a number of sources, including U.S. News and World Report and PayScale.
"Prospective students are looking for bang for their buck," said editor Paul Church. "And many of them find value in being closer to home. That's why we decided to compile our rankings by region."

What makes the Best Value Schools ROI lists particularly useful is that the rankings are separated into four geographic areas across the U.S.
- The top ranked universities for ROI in the northeastern region of the U.S. are listed on: http://www.bestvalueschools.com/public-universities-with-the-best-roi-northeastern-u-s-region/. The list includes northeastern colleges in Maine, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and more. The top spot in the northeast goes to Stony Brook University-SUNY in Stony Brook, NY. Also listed are the University of Maine, University of Vermont, University of New Hampshire, University of Massachusetts Amherst, University of Rhode Island, Pennsylvania University-University Park, University of Connecticut, University of Delaware, Rutgers University, and the University of Maryland-College Park.
