MNX Global Logistics Receives Good Distribution Practices (GDP) certification

-- MNX Singapore office is first to receive GDP for Medical Devices (GDPMDS) certification as part of a global initiative to get all MNX offices GDPMDS certified

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- MNX, a global leader providing expedited transportation and logistics solutions to the Life Sciences industry, is pleased to announce that its global offices and operations have obtained Good Distribution Practices (GDP) certification. In addition, as part of a companywide roll out, MNX's Singapore location was the first to undergo GDP for Medical Devices (GDPMDS) certification through this global initiative. Following Singapore, the MNX facilities that will soon achieve this GDPMDS certification include: Melbourne, Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing, New Delhi, Frankfurt, Los Angeles and Sao Paulo.

"Due to globalization and outsourcing, pharmaceutical companies today face increased complexity and challenges in their transportation, warehousing and fulfillment needs, with ever changing regulatory requirements," said Onno Boots, managing director, Asia Pacific. "By partnering with a total logistics, storage and distribution solutions provider like MNX, who is qualified and compliant under GDP and adheres to the same stringent industry standards, pharmaceutical and medical device companies can feel confident that MNX will safeguard the integrity of their shipments and ensure that patient safety is never compromised."

MNX's global customers demand that their products are consistently stored, transported and handled under strict and verifiable quality standards. To meet these criteria, MNX has responded by implementing a comprehensive quality system, which includes appropriate operating procedures and processes, qualified personnel, validated facilities and equipment, as well as documentation that demonstrates a level of quality assurance that is internationally recognized.

"MNX has a commitment to achieve and maintain the highest level of quality throughout its global operations," said Tom Belmont, COO. "Passing a third-party audit and certification for GDP only re-affirms that our processes and procedures are sound and that they meet international standards demanded by our pharmaceutical and medical device customers. These customers can be assured that our operation teams understand and comply with the rigid requirements of their industry."

Through our ISO 9001:2008 quality management program and now GDP certification, MNX's comprehensive quality management system is designed to provide a globally consistent product and service quality, efficiency and cost benefits to our valued customers.
