Jason Pontin, publisher and editor in chief of MIT Technology Review, states, "At times it seems impossible to keep pace with important emerging technologies. This issue celebrates companies from 11 U.S. states and six countries—organizations at the forefront in displaying 'disruptive innovation' that will prove to surpass the competition, transform an industry, and change our lives."

The honorees listed below will be featured in the March/April edition of MIT Technology Review, published online today and available on newsstands worldwide starting March 4.

Other features in the issue reveal the technology endowing an artificial hand with real feeling and explain how genome surgery could lead to cures for our most deadly genetic diseases.  As always, the magazine is packed with stories, reviews, and demos identifying important new technologies and explaining why they matter.
