OpenDNS, the world’s leading provider of cloud-delivered security services, today announced that Umbrella by OpenDNS has been named a finalist for Best Managed Security Service in the 2014 SC Awards. Umbrella was selected by a panel of SC Magazine readers. The winner will be announced at the SC Awards 2014 ceremony on Feb. 25 in San Francisco. OpenDNS will demonstrate its Umbrella security service next week at RSA Conference South Expo Booth 2522.
“We are honored to have been selected by IT professionals as a finalist in this year’s SC Awards program,” said David Ulevitch, CEO of OpenDNS. “Customer feedback has played a central role in our ability to deliver effective, transparent and zero-maintenance security. It was enterprise requirements that led us to develop our predictive security model, which today protects businesses from emerging threats that evade traditional security solutions.”
Umbrella was selected from hundreds of entries submitted across 18 technology categories. Winners will be selected by a panel representing a cross-section of SC Magazine readership comprised of large, medium and small enterprises from all major vertical markets, including financial services, healthcare, government, retail, education and other sectors.
“Being named a finalist for a Reader Trust Award is truly noteworthy, because it reflects the opinions of real IT professionals and the solutions they use to address the network security problems that plague their companies on a daily basis,” said Illena Armstrong, VP, editorial, SC Magazine. “The SC Awards represent the best of the best in the information security industry and we look forward to recognizing the people and solutions our readers see as stand-outs.”
