Earth Networks, the company known for its popular WeatherBug mobile apps, desktop apps, and website that millions trust for real-time local weather, the most accurate forecasts and the fastest alerts, is pleased to announce the promotion of Keith Sklar to director, national advertising sales, and the addition of three new members to its advertising team based in New York.
Keith Sklar was promoted to director, national advertising sales, from senior account executive. In his new role, he will oversee WeatherBug’s ad sales and account management for North America. Sklar joined the company in 2008 and quickly established a strong track record for winning new business and growing the list of accounts of top-tier advertisers.
Additionally, three new members joined WeatherBug’s advertising team:
- Rob Jay is a senior account executive and will focus on agencies based in New York and Boston. He joins from Brand.net, where he was an account director working with agencies based in New York and the Southeast. Earlier, Rob spent three years with National Newspaper Network, where he brought national advertisers to local publishers.
- Jessica Rienzo is an account executive covering the Southeast and several New York-based agencies. She most recently served as an account strategist for Liberty Advertising in New York, where she supported sales representatives working with major clients and agencies.
- Katarzyna (Katherine) Herink is the new advertising sales research manager. She joins the team after spending 8 years at CNN International, where she was a senior research analyst responsible for reports and records that were used globally across the company. She also designed, implemented, analyzed and presented results for consumer category studies.
“We are thrilled to be adding three very talented individuals to the WeatherBug advertising sales team, as well as promoting Keith Sklar, whose commitment and drive continue to deliver impressive results,” says Senior Vice President of Domestic Sales Michael Lombardi. “Advertisers know that WeatherBug is a brand that is trusted by millions of consumers as the best source for live local weather, and our apps are frequently selected for prestigious industry awards – including two APPYs, two Best App Ever awards, and most recently a Tabby for best tablet app.”
