paul.nowak wrote: Matt, thanks for the comments. I made an error on the version of Plone. It's 2.5 Plone running on Zope 2.9x. ATLANTA, GA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 11/08/06 -- Invistics, a leading provider of manufacturing performance optimization solutions, today announced that Joe Cowan has joined its Board of Directors and been appointed Chairman. A proven leader in the manufacturing software industry, Mr. Cowan, who was most recently the chief executive officer of Manugistics, will play an instrumental role in driving the company's continued growth.

According to Scott Geller, president and CEO of Invistics, "As manufacturers outside of the automotive industry continue to realize new techniques and tools are required to make Lean a reality, the market for our unique mix of Lean methodologies, software and services continues to grow." Geller continues, "In fact, recent research from AMR Research predicts that Lean practices will be the most important business initiative impacting IT investment decisions over the next 12 months. This trend presents Invistics with a significant growth opportunity and Joe's expertise will be an invaluable asset in developing strategies to ensure we maximize the opportunities ahead."

Cowan brings significant experience in manufacturing operations and supply chain management and a proven track record in building and running multinational companies. He is highly experienced in leading and motivating worldwide sales teams and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

"Invistics' offer is truly unique in the sense that it enables manufacturers in complex, non-repetitive production environments to successfully adapt Lean processes to improve performance," states Cowan. "The company's potential to deliver dramatic, sustainable performance improvements to today's manufacturers is enormous and I look forward to contributing to Invistics' expansion efforts."

Founder and chief strategy officer Tom Knight adds, "We are delighted to welcome Joe Cowan to Invistics' board as Chairman and look forward to translating his extensive knowledge and expertise into additional value for our customers."

Most recently, Cowan served as Manugistics' CEO, and was responsible for solidifying the company's leadership position in the demand and supply chain market. Manugistics was purchased by JDA Software Group in July 2006. Prior to his role with Manugistics, Cowan served as CEO of EXE Technologies, a leader in supply chain warehouse management.

Cowan has also served in a variety of sales, marketing and senior management positions in Invensys Companies of Foxboro, Baan and Wonderware, and Texas Instruments Industrial Business. At Wonderware, the leader in factory floor software, he was a key leader in developing the strategy that allowed the company to grow and be successfully sold to Invensys in 1998. He received a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from Arizona State University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Auburn University.

About Invistics

Invistics helps manufacturers in complex, asset-intensive industries such as consumer packaged goods, chemicals, metals and pharmaceuticals achieve sustainable operational excellence in an often overlooked, yet core, element of their supply chain -- production operations. Built on Lean and Six Sigma principles, its manufacturing performance optimization solution, Invistics MachSix(TM), is specifically designed to redefine complex plant-level tradeoffs between inventory costs, customer service, production, throughput and cycle times. Companies use Invistics' methodology and software to identify and manage sources of variability while breaking down organizational silos. Invistics' customers have achieved dramatic, sustained results including over 99 percent on-time deliveries, an average reduction of 50 percent in inventory and reduction in cycle times by more than half. MachSix integrates with, and enhances, ERP, supply chain and manufacturing execution applications by providing more accurate data, while accounting for variability and improving visibility into plant floor operations.
