The Macula Vision Research Foundation (MVRF) To Host Free SupportSight(SM) Seminar On Age-Related Macular Degeneration On February 25, 2014

WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., Feb. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --The Macula Vision Research Foundation (MVRF) will host a FREE SupportSightSM seminar on February 25, 2014 about the latest in research, treatment, patient care and early detection, technology and coping with vision impairment.     

WHO:  MVRF - a national nonprofit focused on finding a cure for macular degeneration and other retinal diseases. To reach this goal, MVRF funds groundbreaking research projects conducted by the world's top scientists with the hope of improving the lives of millions of people in the US affected by visual impairment.

Event participants include ViewFinder, Arizona Retina and Vitreous Consultants and Optelec. The seminar is expected to draw an average of 300+ participants.

WHY: The purpose of the educational seminar is to provide a forum to inform patients, individuals, families and caregivers on the latest science, treatment and prevention of AMD and other retinal-related diseases.  Low vision demonstrations and tools will be available as well.
