LONDON, February 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Over 7000 attendees have already registered to attend the Resource event, which takes place at London's ExCeL from 4-6th March 2014.
The huge interest, in what is Europe's first event dedicated to developing the circular economy, is a sign that the world's most forward thinking brands are now actively seeking to unlock the commercial and environmental benefits that more sustainable business models have to offer.
The event will see some of the world's best known brands including M&S, Jaguar Land Rover, HP, P&G, The Ellen MacArthur Foundation and SITA UK come together to develop new thinking around the way we design, manufacture and sell products, so that materials can be recovered at the end of life, avoiding landfill.
Commenting on the strength of the conference programme SITA UK, Technical Development Director, Stuart Hayward-Higham said:
"I'm really delighted to have the opportunity to speak at this event and share ideas with so many other forward-looking organisations and business leaders. Clearly, judging by the large number of people who have already pre-registered for this event, the idea of a process based approach to increase sustainability and the circular economy is an essential topic for many businesses."
Ed Lawson, co-Founder of the event echoed Stuarts' comments saying:
"We're very proud to have such an amazing line up of speakers all coming together in London in March. For the first time, visitors to the event will be able to hear from over 100 thought leaders representing DS Smith, IKEA, Kingfisher, Samsung, eBay Inc, Nokia, Coca Cola Enterprises, National Grid, Toyota, Biffa and H&M all of whom are committed to finding practical ways in which they can develop more sustainable business models."
Conference Chair, Professor Rob Holdway, welcomes the refreshing approach to the event:
"This is, crucially, not another sustainability event. It's a real chance for companies to work out how they can benefit from new models, where the new opportunities for profit are, and how they can take what might be first steps towards a circular economy'.
