Charles Wright Expresses Himself in FIFTY SHADES OF GREY Movie; It's a SCANDAL!

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - February 21, 2014) - The highly anticipated erotic romance movie, Fifty Shades of Grey, will feature Charles Wright's mega hit, "Express Yourself." The film is based on the international bestselling trilogy, written by British novelist E. L. James. Her novels have sold over 90 million copies in 52 languages. Universal Pictures will release the film nationwide on Valentine's Day, February 2015. Dakota Johnson (the daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith) will star as Anastasia Steele, along with Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey.

Following the success of the Chevrolet Super Bowl commercial featuring Wright's, "Express Yourself," the ABC hit series Scandal will use the classic tune in its February 27, 2014 episode. The scene will include a performance by the quick witted and diabolical protagonist, Olivia Pope, played by Kerry Washington.

Charles Wright will also participate in a Black History Month presentation at Franklin D. Roosevelt Elementary/Middle School in Inglewood, CA. On February 27, 2014 the Franklin D. Roosevelt Choir will perform with Wright, singing "If All Men were Truly Brothers." The same choir was featured on his 2007 album, God Bless the Children

The City of Long Beach will use the Charles Wright song in their campaign aimed at bringing voting awareness to the Long Beach community. With the aim of increasing voter turnout in the City of Long Beach, the city will use the 1970's hit, "Express Yourself," as the theme of a PSA video to encourage the community to vote on Election Day. Mr. Wright will also be featured in the video.
