Trade in Snow for Sun and Sand at the Orlando Airport Marriott

Orlando Airport Marriott Offers Warm-Weather Getaway With Nearby Beaches and Attractions

ORLANDO, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 02/21/14 -- While much of the country continues to dig itself out of the snow, Orlando is sitting pretty with temperatures hovering in the 80s. Those who are ready for a much-needed escape from the winter cold will find the perfect vacation destination at the Orlando Airport Marriott.

Conveniently located, this Orlando International Airport hotel offers its own options for basking in the sun and also puts guests near some of the area's biggest attractions. An indoor/outdoor pool allows guests to enjoy the warm Orlando weather without leaving the hotel. And because being in the sun can work up an appetite, the Splash Pool Bar offers poolside service with refreshing drinks and snacks, music and comfortable deck seating.

In addition to the Splash Pool Bar, the hotel offers other restaurants near Orlando International Airport. At Crimson Tavern, locally sourced fresh, seasonal ingredients are used in the farm-to-table menu, which also offers a regional charcuterie and international cheese plates. For a more casual dining experience, Crimson Cafe offers a classic American breakfast overlooking Lake Michelle and the hotel pool. Before heading out for a day of sightseeing, pick up something to go from Fidalgo Bay Cafe, offering pastries, breakfast sandwiches, snacks and lunch items.

This Orlando MCO hotel also puts guests close to the area's biggest events of the season. Baseball fans can catch the Atlanta Braves in Spring Training through March 26th at the ESPN Sports Complex. From February 27th through March 9th, the Florida Strawberry Festival at Plant City celebrates "the fabric of American life" with entertainment, exhibitions, events and, of course, desserts and dishes featuring strawberries. Nowhere is spring more in bloom than at Epcot's Flower & Garden Festival, March 5th through May 17th, featuring topiaries and seasonal foods. And March 7th kicks off Bike Week Orlando, bringing more than 100,000 Harley-Davidson enthusiasts from across the globe to the Orlando Harley-Davidson Historic Factory Dealership. The event, through March 16th, features a detailed re-creation of the 1910 factory and includes live music, games and entertainment.

No matter what visitors do with their day, they'll return to a modern, comfortable guest room. Enjoy sleeping in with luxury bedding; catch up on popular shows and movies on a 42-inch LCD TV; indulge with a little room service; upload photos from the trip using high-speed Internet access and throw open the curtains on the floor-to-ceiling windows to let in the sunshine.
