Are You an IP Champion?

WASHINGTON, Feb. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On April 23rd, in commemoration of World Intellectual Property Day, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Global Intellectual Property Center will recognize and award the 2014 IP Champions in Washington D.C.

IP Champions are individuals at the forefront of protecting and promoting intellectual property rights. From the local police station who shuttered a shop full of counterfeit goods to the student who created a jaw-dropping anti-piracy PSA, IP Champions represent a diverse and broad cross-section of people and organizations.

IP Champions are the at-home inventors, small-business owners, investors, and creators who have secured and utilized patents, trademarks, and copyrights to enrich the world or solve global solutions, including creating anything from a household gadget to a breakthrough technology.

IP Champions could also be leaders and advocates in the intellectual property space, including academics, law enforcement officers, and elected or appointed officials who stand as stewards of intellectual property in their protection and promotion.

If you know of someone who epitomizes an IP Champion and deserves to be recognized – tell us about them!

Please take a moment to nominate deserving individuals or organizations, through this easy-to-use online nomination form. We welcome all ideas, creativity, and nominations before March 14th, 2014.
