Wilson Electronics (www.wilsonelectronics.com), manufacturer of North America’s top-selling line of cellular signal boosters, announces its most popular in-vehicle boosters are now certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to the new 2014 signal booster standards.
Shipments of both the Mobile 3G and the Sleek will begin shortly, and will be available via Wilson Electronics’ dealer and retail sales partners.
“Mobile professionals, commuters, truckers, and soccer moms have depended for years on the Mobile 3G and the Sleek to provide reliable cell coverage around town and on the open road,” said Chris Rutherford, VP of sales and marketing for Wilson Electronics. “We’re especially pleased these boosters have achieved FCC certification before the new technical specifications go into effect later this year. It again demonstrates our commitment to provide Wilson Electronics customers with signal boosters that meet the highest technical and quality standards.”
The Mobile 3G and the Sleek work with all North American service providers and cellular devices. For users of Wilson Electronics signal boosters, benefits include fewer dropped calls or lost connections, fewer “dead zones,” faster data downloads, clearer voice quality and improved cellular device battery life.
Both systems are ideal for use with a Bluetooth earpiece or other hands-free calling device, and both include all components required for installation, as well as an illustrated step-by-step setup guide.
The Mobile 3G, which replaces the company’s popular Dual Band Mobile Wireless booster, accommodates multiple voice and data connections across multiple carriers simultaneously. This booster system operates transparently – no physical link to a cellular device is required. The Mobile 3G system delivers the FCC’s maximum allowed gain, or signal enhancement level, of 50 decibels (dB).
The Sleek features a patented all-in-one design, which incorporates the signal booster, antenna and a convenient phone cradle in a single unit. The Sleek measures just 2.5 by 4.5 by 2.5 inches (6.4 x 11.4 x 6.4 cm), weighs only three ounces (85 grams) and can be installed in minutes.
Like all Wilson Electronics signal boosters, these models feature SmarTech III™ cell site protections, which prevent the possibility of interference with cellular networks. The SmarTech III techniques were developed and refined by Wilson Electronics engineering and product development teams over more than a decade of research and development.

Project members are working to take the scalability and openness of the web and use it to talk to the exponentially exploding range of smart devices. Nearly every company today working on the IoT comes up with the same basic solution: use my server and you'll be fine. But if we really believe there will be trillions of these devices, that just can't scale. We need a system that is open a scalable and by using ...
