Lombardi has spent the past nine years with the WeatherBug brand. He first joined the company in 2005 as vice president of East Coast sales, and was promoted two years later to vice president, national sales. Prior to this new role, Lombardi served as the vice president and general manager, consumer, and was responsible for overseeing WeatherBug’s advertising sales and sales operations.
“Mike Lombardi’s drive and leadership have proven to be a tremendous asset to our company,” says Earth Networks President and COO Richard Spaulding. “Mike was a natural choice to lead our newly combined domestic sales group as we look to unify and expand our business. Under his leadership, the group will be identifying and building on new opportunities – not only across our mobile and online platforms, but across our enterprise business that supports the diverse requirements of schools and universities, major sports leagues and teams, and weather-sensitive businesses that require real-time local weather and alerts.”
Lombardi is an established professional in the advertising industry with more than two decades of marketing and sales strategy and leadership experience in traditional and digital media. His past sales and management positions include Undertone Networks, Bonneville Corporation and Darcey & Darcey Advertising and Public Relations, Inc.
