Signavio and Cisco Bringing IT and Business Together with ArchiMate®

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb. 26 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, leading SaaS BPM provider Signavio announces its free cloud-based solution for Enterprise Architecture (EA) modeling with ArchiMate® supporting TOGAF®. This EA platform is powered by the same technology developed by Signavio and used by over 500 leading organizations worldwide to model their business processes with BPMN 2.0. The offering is a result of Signavio's approach to open innovation.

"Supporting EA and Business Process Management (BPM) within the same tool helps align information systems with the organization's processes. Linking the two models provides enterprises with the opportunity to implement changes more efficiently," said William Thomas, Signavio GM Americas.

Signavio's ArchiMate solution for EA is the result of a joint effort with Cisco Systems®. Cisco® used Signavio's Software Development Kit (SDK) to create ArchiMate 2.1 objects which are available as an open source project.

Traditionally, EA tools require client-side software and do not incorporate a collaborative approach. By establishing visibility and connecting EA with BPM in the cloud, Signavio brings IT and business users closer together. Companies can now use a cloud-based tool for modeling IT systems and business processes to create a more agile organization.
