PA Group Appoints Andrew Dowsett as Chief Operating Officer

LONDON, February 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

PA Group, the parent company of the Press Association (PA) - the UK's leading multimedia news agency and digital content supplier - has announced the appointment of Andrew Dowsett to the position of Chief Operating Officer with immediate effect.

Andrew will be responsible for all data operations comprising Sport, Racing, TV and Arts and Entertainment listings, plus PA's outsourcing operation in India, PA Images and Globelynx. Furthermore Andrew, who was appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in August 2011, will retain responsibility for the organisation's technology and for managing transitional services for MeteoGroup as the weather company's recent sale reaches completion.

Andrew has over 20 years TMT sector experience and was appointed to the PA Group executive board in 2012 - its first CTO to assume the role. He remains based in the company's London Victoria office.
